Hi! I'm Marley, and thank you for stopping by my website.
I am a graduate of Pepperdine University's journalism program, with an outside concentration in political science. Storytelling has always been at the center of my work, whether through traditional print and broadcast news, long-form magazine features, or creative marketing campaigns.
Before launching my journalism career, I spent over four years as a full-time creative writer at a boutique marketing agency. At that same agency, I transitioned to part-time and now am a freelancer — an experience that taught me how to craft compelling stories for a variety of audiences, while building on the narrative skills I’d been honing since I first started writing short stories.
During college, I served the Pepperdine and Malibu communities as a journalist and storyteller, earning multiple Associated Collegiate Press and California College Media awards along the way. My professional journey has included a digital editorial internship at Modern Luxury’s Gotham Magazine, and my most recent role as a full-time Editorial Intern at Boston Magazine under The Boston Globe.
When I’m not writing or reporting, you can usually find me exploring the world through my trusty 35mm camera, sketching ideas for art or graphic design projects, or curating some fashion and beauty inspiration. I love learning about the people around me; my neighbors, my community, and the stories that make each life unique. These everyday curiosities feed my creativity and keep me inspired, whether I’m crafting a magazine feature, a marketing campaign, or just doodling in my notebook.
If you have any burning questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out! I will get back to you as soon as possible.
